Home run! Plated’s Soy-Glazed Beef with Cucumber and Sticky Rice was a hit.
This was yet another dish where the recipe – as it is – works as a decent foundation, particularly for those without experience in Asian inspired fare. The flavors were bright. The textures spot on for a Thai minced beef and the cucumber, sliced thinner than the recipe calls for, was a refreshing idea.
It could definitely benefit from some fine tuning (garlic, toasted sesame oil, Thai basil and chili peppers) though none are required.
I’m planning on making this again outside of Plated. The recipe is a keeper.
