That’s a great big nope in my book. Plated’s “Peruvian” Beef Kebabs. The flavor profile was just off. Maybe I started off irritated and it carried over into my frustration with the recipe.
Or perhaps it was the ají panca chile powder that didn’t blend into the sauce, instead it bound to the cumin and left this paste on the roof of my mouth. The beef was also too wet to bind to the skewers. The lima beans roasted to skin and mush.
They can’t all be winners. Tonight is proof enough of that.
